This is an exploration of 'the bone people', by Keri Hulme. It is a book that invokes 3 complex characters (as complex as you and i). The generous descriptions of the senses brings the readers to New Zealand, where the story takes place.

I fell in love with 'the bone people' many years ago, and my love for the book continues to grow. I hope that this community allows myself and other bone people lovers to share insights we may not yet have had about the book.

'the bone people' has language and themes that explore nature, the body, family, home, sprituality, art, despair, violence, love, solitude and unity. (among many many more). I hope we can explore those aspects from the book, as well as from our lives.
